Online submissions begin on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 9:00 am CST and close on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 11:59 pm CST. The submission form will be accessible on this page during that time. There is a non-refundable $30* submission fee per band entry.

-We do not accept unsolicited submissions for bands for booking consideration.

This is a LIVE BAND competition.  Bands Only - No Exceptions.  

A Band is defined as: 
-Three (3) Minimum to Six (6) Maximum Members, 18 years of age or older as of February 1, 2023 - No Exceptions 
 

-If selected for finals, Absolutely No Backing Tracks of any type are allowed during LIVE performance. No Exceptions.

All Genres are eligible. 

Submission Rules: 

-All submissions are online only. No exceptions. 

-Contest open to bands with members 18 and older only. 

-$30* Non-Refundable Submission Fee (plus merchant processing fees)

-Must submit YOUTUBE LINKS for: 

-ONE (1) ORIGINAL SONG 
-ONE (1) COVER SONG *OPTIONAL* 

-The length of each video must be a minimum of 2 minutes and no longer than 5 minutes 

-At least one (1) of the videos must be a LIVE performance. 

-Videos must accurately represent the band’s members, abilities, and talent. 

-Website, Social Media Links, etc. 

-Band Member names, instrumentation, Bio - Fill out the form.

-Band Photo

-Must disclose any professional representation and connections to talent and management agencies, record labels, and any connection to Beaver Dam Amphitheater, the City of Beaver Dam, Beaver Dam Tourism Commission, or The Eric GroupBands with major label record deals are ineligible.

-Employees of The City of Beaver Dam and The Eric Group are ineligible to enter. 

-Must agree to Rules and standard Waivers 

A panel of Industry Professionals will select EIGHT (8) Finalists from submissions. ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL 

Beaver Dam Amphitheater, Beaver Dam Tourism Commission, The City of Beaver Dam, and The Eric Group have no input or influence on judges, judging decisions, finalists selection, or winners selected. The impartial judging panel consists of respected, award-winning, Industry professionals. ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL. 

Finalists selected will compete on May 13, 2023, for Prize packages. Winners will be announced on the night of the contest. 

Ticket information for the FINALS on May 13, 2023, will be released when the finalists are announced.

May 13, 2023, Time TBD: Finalists’ Performance/Competition. Winners are Announced Immediately following the contest.

-Originality
-Talent & Musical Ability
-LIVE Performance 
-"BAND" Factor. Quality of the band as a whole, working together as a unit. 

 

>FINALISTS will be judged on the following criteria*: 

-Preparedness/Planning/Professionalism: Start on time. End on time. Stay within time limits for performance, set up, and break down. Instruments and gear ready. 

 -Originality: Show flow. Do songs fit the band genre? What makes your band stand out? 
-Appearance
-Interaction with Audience / Ability to Entertain / Crowd Response

-Quality of Performance & Presentation
-Overall "WOW" and "BAND" factors. This is a BAND competition, therefore, a team competition.
